How to Have an Effective Early Morning Prayer?

by Apr 25, 2021Prayer

When you love someone you think about that person. You may call the person, or you might hug them and say, “good morning”. Starting your day with prayer is you telling God, “Good morning! I am here, I missed you, but I know you missed me more!”

You don’t have to beg for God’s presence to show up, He is already there. Building an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit is what makes us more aware of His Presence. The truth is, God is much more passionate and desperate for our presence than we will ever be for His. He does not want an eternity without our presence. He sent His only Son to build a relationship with you.

How to Have an Effective Early Morning Prayer

  1. Go to Sleep Earlier: This is where your sacrifice starts, and it means to say no to things after 10 p.m.
  2. Be Reasonable and Not Radical: If you have early work or early morning responsibilities, make sure to keep your schedule manageable.
  3. Bring a Bible & a Notebook to Prayer: Be intentional with God, He is already there. Seek Him through His word and be sensitive to His presence.
  4. Leave your Phone Behind: If you have to leave your phone in your car or keep it on silent mode and turn off the notifications, do it. Closing the doors of all distractions will open the windows of heaven.

God is waiting, will you be there?
